Wood Fired Pottery Course

I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity to run wood fire pottery courses with John Mackenzie who has 20years of experience building and firing wood kilns using an ‘anagama’ style kiln (Japanese for cave). John did a ceramic degree at Harrow and is a tutor at the Leach pottery, St Ives. The anagama kiln will be located in my field close to Gweek with views of the river. The kiln is fed with wood for up to 50 hours and the wood ash creates beautiful and unpredictable glaze colours.
