Raku Pottery Course

Raku is a fast firing process where the pieces are taken out of the kiln red hot and covered in sawdust. It produces a crackle effect glaze, stained black from the sawdust and copper glazes can be gold coloured if the piece is completely starved of oxygen. If you like fire and some drama this course is for you! We will have 2 weeks of making pieces which will be biscuit fired before returning to glaze and fire your pieces.
